Breaking up the Colts??

Nick Harper is the latest Colts to jump the Super Bowl Indianoplis team ship.

Nick Harper has agreed to a contract with Colts division rival Tennessee Titans. Earlier in the week, linebacker Cato June left the Colts for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Titans have been looking for a possible replacement for oft troubled cornerback Adam 'Pacman' Jones, and Nick Harper is just that person. The signing of Harper not only makes the Titans stronger, but it weakens a Colts team that has owned the AFC South.

The 5-foot-10 Harper spent the past six seasons with Indianapolis. The 32-year-old had three interceptions and 58 tackles last season as a starter. Harper has been the Colts' most consistent cover cornerback in the past few seasons.

Both June and Harper were big contributors to a Indianapolis defense that came together during the Colts run to the Super Bowl last season.

Are these signings further evidence that smaller market teams may have a tough time competing with the bigger market teams for quality players?
