Adam "Pacman" Jones of the Tennessee Titans may face charges as the result of a triple shooting in a Las Vegas strip club.
Las Vegas police are looking to submit felony and misdemeanor charges against Mr.Jones because of his possible involvement in shootings that took place during NBA all-star week.
Lt. George Castro said the request for charges will be submitted to Clark County district attorney David Roger no later than the end of the week. Roger will be asked to consider charges against 23-year-old Jones; Robert Reid, 37, of Carson, Calif.;(no relation) and Sadia Morrison, 24, of New York. Castro described Reid and Morrison as friends of Jones.
"These three people were involved in the altercation inside the club. We're still working on the shooting outside the club," Castro said.
Manny Arora, the lawyer for Mr.Jones, told ESPN News that Jones is more concerned about the NFL's reaction to charges even though charges not yet been filed.
Titan's team officials say they are deeply troubled by having a player on their team face possible felony charges in another state. Jones was the sixth player chosen overall in the 2006 NFL draft, and the Titan's have yet to decide if they are going to keep or release Jones because of his numerous off the field 'issues'.
Mr.Jones is also facing charges from a 2006 Georgia incident for obstruction of justice because he bit a police officer on the hand. In addition, in January a Tennessee judge issued an order for "Pacman" to say out of trouble until July 5th of this year. This ordered was issued because of Mr.Jones' arrest in August 2006 for public intoxication and disorderly conduct charges. The judge placed this order in the hopes of having this arrest in the Nashville suburb of Murfreesboro, Tenn., expunged.
It seems "Pacman" is not only good a picking up punt returns for touchdown;he is also good for picking up trouble with the law.
